Marion Hammang
Marion Hammang (* 3. January 1964 to Esch-sur-Alzette , † 5. April 2017 ibid) was Sportswoman in powerlifting and 1990 as well as 1992 Sportswoman of the Year in Luxembourg .
Athletic career
As early as 1985, Marion Hammang won a European title in Dordrecht ( Netherlands ). Four more followed. In 1990 she won the world bench press championship , followed in 1992 by the title of world champion in powerlifting in the weight class (women) 60 kg ( Gent ) and in 2004 she won the Masters.
She was trained by her husband Alain Hammang. Together with Malou Thill, she shaped powerlifting in the 1990s.

Marion Hammang was a local agent (agent municipal) in her hometown of Esch an der Alzette. She died of cardiac arrest while working for the community.
