Marion Schneider (author, 1945)

Marion Schneider (married Schneider-Meyer ; born May 16, 1945 in Frechen ) is a German author , lecturer and tourist guide .

Marion Schneider studied German , history , philosophy and art history in Cologne . She worked as a high school teacher and at the Cologne University Library . She also worked as a journalist and in adult education, as well as a lecturer in business terminology. She was also the head of a language school and a large customer sales force.

When she set up the China department of a training company, she gained a wealth of experience with her stays in China for over 17 years, which gave her a reputation as a specialist in Asia. She advised large German companies on their cooperation with China .

A film with the title “With eleven alone in China” by Stephan Köster and Uli Franz from 1995 about the one year stay of their youngest son David as the first German child in the Chinese monastery Shaolin was the basis for their book on the same topic.

The author is a mother of five children. She lives and works as a literary editor, speaker, lecturer and freelance writer in Cologne.
