Marion Sellier

Marion Sellier (* 17. July 1957 in Grödersby ; † 12. April 2015 in Viöl ) was a German politician of the SPD and in the 17th electoral term members of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament for the constituency 1, Südtondern.

education and profession

Marion Sellier, née Schmidt, trained as an educator after completing secondary school from 1972 to 1976, from 1982 to 1983 as a curative teacher and from 1986 to 1989 as a medical assistant. From 2002 to 2003 she took part in the Schleswig-Holstein Medical Association's pilot project to become a practice manager.

Marion Sellier was married and had five children.

politics

Marion Sellier was a member of the SPD. In terms of local politics, she was a member of the district council in North Friesland for her party since 2008 (where she was the deputy chairman of the district parliamentary group) and from 2009 to 2012 a member of the North Friesland main committee and an assessor in the North Friesland district association.

From 2009 to 2012 she was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament, where she was deputy secretary and member of the economic committee. She was also a deputy member of the environmental committee and transport policy spokeswoman for the SPD.

Public offices

From 2001 to 2015 Marion Sellier worked as a voluntary equal opportunities officer for the Viöl Office.
