Marion Tauschwitz

Marion Tauschwitz (born October 21, 1953 ) is a German writer .

Life

Marion Tauschwitz studied English and German at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . She worked as a high school teacher , freelance lecturer and freelance writer before she met Hilde Domin in 2001 and became her friend and confidante. She accompanied her until her death in 2006. In 2009 she presented Domin's comprehensive biography, which was welcomed by the critics as a standard work. Her work focuses on biographies, fiction and interpretations of Domin works.

Tauschwitz is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS) Baden-Württemberg, the International Association of Women Authors, GEDOK and the Association of German Writers in Baden-Württemberg. In 2018 she was elected a member of the PEN Center Germany.

Marion Tauschwitz lives in Heidelberg .

Marion Tauschwitz published an autobiographical novella in 2010 and her first novel in 2011 .
