Career

Småriset started in the Continental Cup (COC) in 1994 . Until 1998, however, it remained largely unsuccessful. It was not until the 1998/99 season that Småriset made his breakthrough in the Continental Cup and won several competitions in this series. In the end, he finished the season in 2nd place in the overall Continental Cup ranking. Due to this good performance, he was nominated for the first time on January 17, 1999 for a jumping in the Ski Jumping World Cup . He achieved his first World Cup points with 26th place in Zakopane, Poland . In his second and last World Cup competition in Willingen , however, he clearly missed the points with 46th place. At the end of the 1998/99 season he was 91st in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following three years he could no longer build on his successes and ended his active ski jumping career after the Continental Cup season 2000/01 .
