Korander, who started for the Vihdin Viesti, ran in Kajaani for the first time in the Continental Cup in December 2001 and finished 24th in the sprint. She made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2002 in Lahti , which she finished in 43rd place over 10 km freestyle. In the 2004/05 season she came in six appearances in the Scandinavian Cup , four times in the top ten. She took her first and only victory in the Scandinavian Cup over 5 km classic in Sundsvall and took third place over 10 km freestyle in Lapinlahti . At the end of the season she finished third in the overall ranking. In March 2005 she got her first and only World Cup point in Oslo with 30th place over 30 km classic. The following season she reached the Scandinavian Cup with five top ten placements, including third place over 10 km freestyle in Skellefteå , seventh place in the overall standings. Her 14th and last World Cup race she completed in November 2006 in Kuusamo over 10 km classic, which she ended prematurely. At the beginning of January 2009 she was tenth over 50 km classic at the Vasaloppet China . Korander also took part in FIS races from 2002 to 2009 . She got three wins.
