Mark Diemers (born October 11, 1993 in Leeuwarden , the Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . After stints at FC Utrecht and BV De Graafschap , he has been under contract with Fortuna Sittard since 2016 .
Career
Mark Diemers had started playing football at LAC Frisia before he moved to the joint academy for young talent from SC Cambuur and FC Groningen ( Voetbalacademie FC Groningen / Cambuur ). In July 2013 he signed a four-year contract with FC Utrecht , but was loaned out to SC Cambuur for the first year. On August 12, 2012, he ran for the first time in professional football in the 2-1 away win against FC Volendam . At the end of the season, Diemers rose with SC Cambuur as a second division champion in the Eredivisie .
He played his first game for FC Utrecht on August 11, 2013, with a 2-0 draw on the first matchday at FC Groningen . During the 2013/14 season , he played 14 games in which he did not score. The Utrecht finished the season in tenth place. On December 20, 2014, he scored his first goal in a 3-0 away win against AZ Alkmaar on matchday 17. FC Utrecht finished the 2014/15 season , in which Mark Diemers made 21 appearances and two goals, in eleventh place. In January 2016 the Utrecht awarded it to BV De Graafschap . At the end of the 2015/16 season , the club rose from the Eredivisie; Diemers stayed with BV De Graafschap and was permanently signed. If in the first year after relegation the direct return was missed, they managed to return to the Eredivisie one season later. His contract ran until June 30, 2018.
