Mark Fergus

Mark Fergus (* in New York City ) is an American screenwriter and director .

Life

After studying film at Boston University , Fergus turned to screenwriting. He has worked closely with Hawk Ostby from the very beginning and together they developed the script for Consequence , which was directed by Anthony Hickox in 2003 .

In 2006, Fergus and Ostby were part of the screenwriting team for the film Children of Men , for which they and their colleagues were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. In the same year the thriller First Snow was created , with which Fergus made his debut as a director. Other films in whose script development they were involved are the comic book adaptations Iron Man and Cowboys & Aliens . The TV series The Expanse followed in 2015 .
