Mark Vyacheslavovich Serow ( Russian Марк Вячеславович Серов ; born May 23, 1974 in Penza-19 , Penza Oblast , USSR ) is a former Russian aspirant cosmonaut .
Astronaut activity
In 2003 Serow was accepted into the cosmonaut training group RKKE-16. The basic training lasted from June 16, 2003 to June 28, 2005, which he completed as a test cosmonaut. On January 28, 2011, Serov had to retire from active duty for medical reasons before he could ever fly into space.
Private
Mark Serow is married to the cosmonaut Jelena Serova . She was selected as a space traveler in 2006 and flew in the years 2014/15 with the spaceship Soyuz TMA-14M to the ISS . The two have a daughter who was born in 2004.
