Mark Bass is an Italian bass - amplifier brand. The devices are manufactured by the Parsek company in San Giovanni Teatino , Italy .

history

In 1996, Marco De Virgiliis, who had previously worked in the amplifier industry, started at Parsek, where he did the majority of the marketing, support and sales. He met Sterling Ball in the late 1990s and worked on Music Man's Audiophile series of amplifiers . He began to install neodymium speakers in loudspeaker housings as one of the first. This was done in collaboration with B & C Speakers in Italy, with whom Markbass has equipped his cabinets since the beginning. In 2001 he started the “Markbass” brand with Parsek.

equipment

A typical feature of the Markbass amplifiers is the yellow-black color combination of the amps and cabinets, in which the speaker cones are yellow. Another special feature is the extremely low weight of the speakers thanks to the neodymium speakers and the small size of the tops, which are very compact thanks to Class D technology . In addition to the amplifiers, there are also Markbass effect pedals for electric basses and software for the PC that simulates bass amplifiers, making it unnecessary to take the instrument in the studio.

Markbass has developed an amplifier series called "MoMark", in which the individual components can be combined as desired. Based on a housing with integrated output stage with selectable power, various modules are available for the preamp , the equalizer section and the output stage control.

The most famous Markbass users are Jeff Berlin , Alain Caron , Hadrien Feraud , Franck Hermanny , Tom Kennedy , Marcus Miller , Robbie Shakespeare , and Craig Young .
