The margraviate of Almazán was created as a Spanish title of nobility in 1576 by King Philip II of Spain for Francisco Hurtado de Mendoza y Fajardo, Count of Monteagudo. The title Margrave of Almazán must not be confused with the titles Duke of Almazán or the Lords of Almazán, but exists as an independent title alongside these.

The name of the title refers to the municipality of Almazán in the province of Soria in the autonomous community of Castile and León in Spain . The municipality of Almazán is also the seat of the judicial district of the same name .
