Marko Bubanja (born January 16, 1996 ) is an Austrian judoka . Marko Bubanja fights for the judo club Volksbank Galaxy Tigers.
Life
Marko Bubanja began his judo career with the Vienna Samurai judo club. In 2012 he finished 2nd at the U17 European Championship. From January 2016, Marko Bubanja will fight for his country of birth, Montenegro. After only one year, however, he announced that he would return to Austria. A vote ÖJV board of directors, however, was a lot against him. From 2018 Bubanja started again for the Austrian national team and trains at the Volksbank Galaxy Tigers club.
At the European Games 2019 in Minsk he won the bronze medal in the mixed team competition for Austria together with Stephan Hegyi , Sabrina Filzmoser , Bernadette Graf , Lukas Reiter, Michaela Polleres and Katharina Tanzer .
