Marko Kovač (born January 6, 1987 in Böblingen ) is a Croatian football player .
Career
In his youth, Kovač played for several clubs from the greater Stuttgart area. After moving from SV Böblingen to the youth team of the Stuttgarter Kickers , he moved up to the second team there in 2006 and established himself as a regular in the following years. In September 2008 the newly signed coach Edgar Schmitt brought him into the squad of the first team of the club from Stuttgart-Degerloch and made him debut on September 27, 2008 in the 1-1 draw against Kickers Emden as a substitute in the third division . This was his only use for the professional team and after relegation to fourth division at the end of the season, he left the club and moved to SGV Freiberg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . At the end of the 2010/11 season he had to relegate his team, but managed to get promoted again immediately. In the summer of 2013, left the club for league competitor TSV Grunbach . With Grunbach he reached second place in the 2013/14 season . However, the club waived the promotion games and withdrew his team. Kovač joined the 1st CfR Pforzheim in the summer of 2014 , who played in the Baden Association League. He achieved promotion to the league with his club, but moved to SV Breuningsweiler in the district league Rems / Murr. After three consecutive promotions, he has been playing with his new team in the Württemberg Association League since summer 2018 .
