The Marks Point is a rocky headland in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . On the Amundsen coast , it extends from the northern end of the Medina Peaks in an easterly direction into the southern edge of the Ross Ice Shelf .
The first sighting took place by participants in the American Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928-1930). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1967 after George R. Marks, logistician at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1962.
