The structure of the half-timbered house that is preserved today was built after a major city fire around 1567 and is a protected architectural monument (No. D-4-74-132-63). The building was initially a post office , then the Gasthof Zum Weißen Ross and later the Hotel Alte Post . The two-storey gable - roof house in the corner has a massive ground floor and a plastered half-timbered upper floor . Later on, an expansion followed. In the gable field you can see a painting by Georg Prell from 1927, which bears the following inscription: “In this house, on the night of July 30th to 31st, 1866 between Bavaria and Nordd. Confederation by the Bavarian. Colonels. Roth with a big heart. Friedr. Franz v. Mecklenburg-Schwerin ceasefire agreed ”.
