Architecture and history

It is a two-story half-timbered house with an attic from the 16th century. There are different assumptions about the year of construction.

The facade of the first floor is faced with massive stones. There is also a high entrance portal and to the left and right of it two very large shop windows facing the street. Particularly noteworthy are the fan ornaments on the first floor.

According to the gilded dates above the entrance, the building dates from 1600 and was fundamentally rebuilt in 1928. According to other sources, however, the house was built in 1545.

The building used to have the location list number 627. At that time it was a residential building with a side wing and courtyard as well as a bakery and stable. The house was owned by the master baker Wilhelm Keffel in 1895/1896 and by the master baker Fritz Fessel, the grandfather of the current owner, in 1905. Today Tommi's Pub is located on the ground floor .

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 02498.
