Markus Gilli

Markus Peter Gilli (born May 30, 1955 in Zurich ) is a Swiss radio and television journalist and member of the management of the TV division at AZ Medien .

Gilli began his career in 1980 at Radio 24 , the first Swiss private radio. There he worked as an editor and presenter until 1999 , later as news chief and program manager. In 1992 and 1994 he won the Tele Prize for a 24-hour report from the open Zurich drug scene at Platzspitz and the Zurich Radio Prize for a report on the population in the affected district in Zurich who was heavily affected by the drug scene. In August 1997 he took over the moderation and editing of the talk show SonnTalk at Tele24 and TeleZüri .

From 1999 to 2014 he was program manager and editor-in-chief of TeleZüri. Since April 1, 2014 he has been editor-in-chief of the AZ Medien family of TV channels (TeleZüri, TeleBärn , Tele M1 , TV24 ). He also moderates the two programs SonnTalk and TalkTaily on TeleZüri .

In 2013 he was awarded the Journalist of the Year award.
