Markus Gmür

Markus Gmür (born September 23, 1963 in Amden ) is a Swiss economist and has been a professor for NPO management at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Freiburg in Freiburg since 2008 . There he is director of research at the faculty's own Institute for Association, Foundation and Cooperative Management (VMI).

Life

Between 1983 and 1989 Gmür studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and sociology and organizational psychology at the University of Bamberg , before graduating in 1989 with a degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen. Between November 1989 and October 1994 Gmür was a research associate at the Chair of Management at the University of Konstanz (Chair of Professor Rüdiger Klimecki ). He then switched to the Medeclin day clinics as an authorized signatory before returning to the University of Konstanz in October 1995, receiving his doctorate in 1996 and then embarking on an academic career. From October 2001 he was also a lecturer at the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule in Lahr , before becoming a lecturer in October 2003 and from 2006 professor for Human Resource Management at the EBS University of Economics and Law , of which he was Vice-Rector for Teaching between 2006 and 2008. Gmür completed his habilitation in 2006 at the University of Konstanz.
