Rüdiger Klimecki

Rüdiger Günter Klimecki (born January 27, 1951 in Gelsenkirchen ; † February 6, 2009 ) was a German economist .

Life

Rüdiger Klimecki initially completed an apprenticeship at Deutsche BP AG . He studied economics at the University of Essen . In 1981 he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. From 1984 to 1989 he was a habilitation scholarship holder of the Swiss National Science Foundation and qualified as a professor in 1986 in business administration at the University of St. Gallen . He then was a lecturer at the HSG (1987–1989) and head of research at the Institute for Leadership and Personnel Management (1986–1989).

Having already taken the 1988 Visiting Professor of Public Administration with a focus on human resources and organization at the social science faculty of the University of Konstanz, he received in 1989 a call to the chair management theory in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz . He was dean and spokesman for the department several times . From 1996 to 1998 he was Vice Rector for Teaching at Konstanz University. In 2003 he took over the management of the University's Academy for Scientific Continuing Education (AWW).

He was visiting professor at the MPCS - Management Program Constance Shanghai and at the Kiev School of Economics . In 1993 he received the state teaching award from the Ministry of Science and Art.

At the age of 58 he succumbed to cancer.

research

The focus of Klimecki's research was a development-oriented orientation of management theory , in particular the question of the controllability of organizational development .

Teaching

Rüdiger Klimecki taught, among other things, in the subjects of personnel management , leadership and organization .
