Markus Landolt

Markus Landolt (born July 10, 1961 in Näfels ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician (non-party, formerly Christian Democratic People's Party , CVP).

Life

Markus Landolt completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then studied business administration. In 1988 he founded the GBT Gesellschaft für Beratung und Treuhand in Glarus , Switzerland , which he managed until 2001. In 1999, Markus Landolt took over the ag möbelfabrik horgenglarus in Glarus, which was about to go bankrupt, as owner and director and sold it to the Freiherren v. Nordeck to Nordeck or at their hannoversche v. Nordeck Holding GmbH & Co. KG , a spin-off of the Bahlsen Group . In 2012 he retired from ag möbelfabrik horgenglarus as managing director.

He has been a board member of the Hedy Zwicki Foundation since 1989 . He was also a member of the board of directors of the Glarner Kantonalbank from 1990 to 2002 and a member of the administrative committee of the Glarner property insurance from 1989 to 2001 .

Political career

Markus Landolt was Glarus District Administrator for the CVP from 1988 to 2000 .

Honors

In November 2012, gave federal capital Bern Markus Landolt for its historic preservation achievements in the renovation of the Swiss parliament building (parliament building) and the Bernese council house the Dr. Jost Hartmann Prize . These two buildings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the city ​​of Bern .
