Markus Leinfellner

Markus Leinfellner (born August 13, 1980 in Voitsberg , Styria ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). Since December 17, 2019, he has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the Styrian state parliament .

Life

education and profession

After primary school in Voitsberg, Markus Leinfellner attended the federal high school in Köflach and in 1994/95 the first year of the commercial academy in Voitsberg. He then learned to be a car technician. After military service in 1999, NCO training took place in 2000/01 at the Army NCOs Academy and in 2008 training as a staff sergeant. In 2010 he passed the university entrance qualification examination at the University of Graz , where he attended the university course Parliamentarism and State Politics from 2013 . Leinfellner is employed by the military police in Graz ( senior staff sergeant ).

politics

Leinfellner has been FPÖ local party chairman in Voitsberg since 2012 . In the Voitsberg district he acted as FPÖ district party chairman from 2013 to 2016, and in 2016 he became FPÖ district party chairman. Since 2013 he has been a member of the state party executive and the state party leadership, since May 2019 he has been a member of the state party presidium and state party chairman of the FPÖ Styria. From 2015 until the 2020 municipal council elections , he was a councilor for the municipality of Voitsberg. In the Armed Forces Union Free Trade Union Austria (FGÖ) he is a member of the executive committee of the military police works committee.

After the state election in 2019 , he was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative period on December 17, 2019, delegated by the Styrian state parliament alongside Andrea-Michaela Schartel to the Federal Council .
