Markus Münzer (born October 21, 1969 in Leoben , Styria) is an Austrian speed ski racer. He lives in Ledenitzen , Carinthia and starts for SV Villach . His sporting focus is on the "Downhill" or "Production" class. Series downhill skis and series racing suits are used here.

Career

Markus “Speedy” Münzer celebrated his first major success in 2007 by winning the gold medal at the Speed ​​Ski World Championships 2007 in Verbier , Switzerland in the “Production” discipline. His personal record with professional equipment is currently 222.50 km / h. In 2009 he was able to win another medal with bronze at the Speed Ski World Championships in Vars , France and at the end of the season he won the Speed ​​Masters trophy.
