Markus Meier
Markus Meier (born January 16, 1955 in Emmen , Lucerne ; † April 17, 2005 in the Winterthur district , canton Zurich ) was Professor of Product Development at ETH Zurich and head of the Center for Product Development (ZPE) there.
Professional background
He was previously the technical director and managing director (1989–1990) of Robitron AG in Schaffhausen and 1990–1996 managing director of Soudronic Neftenbach AG, which belongs to the Soudronic Group.
research
He focused his research on the process of product innovation and worked closely with industry, focusing on visualization and digital product presentation. He received visiting professorships in the USA and was awarded the title “successful best practice” in a competition by 10 well-known technical universities for his project-oriented teaching in the area of “innovation project”.
Meier held several patents , which he used for his own developments in the field of u. a. of CD manufacturing and sheet metal welding.
