Markus Sprengler (born October 9, 1965 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German singer and music lecturer from Mannheim ( Baden-Württemberg ).

Sprengler was a singer in the ska band The Busters from 1994 to 2002 . After leaving the band, he was next to his job as Popbeauftragter the City of Mannheim (2001-2006) guest lecturer of the local Pop Academy . In addition, Sprengler was also the booker and head of the former Lagerhaus music club at the northern end of Industriestrasse (corner of Diffenestrasse) in Mannheim. Meanwhile he founded the band project Supermercato . In the spring of 2006, he resigned from the city to become the managing director of a record label. Since 2007 Sprengler has been working as an independent cultural manager in the areas of artist management, agency and event and is active as a musician with the Supermercato Allstars.

In addition, from 2018 Sprengler became politically active as the district advisory board of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party in the multicultural Mannheim district of Neckarstadt-West and in refugee aid as co-chairman of the Mannheim association says yes! In 2019 he was elected to the Mannheim City Council.
