Marlene Tanczik (* 1993 in Dresden ) is a German actress .

Life

Marlene Tanczik began pre-professional dance training at the age of 13. She received her dance training in ballet and contemporary dance at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden, where she studied for two years. She was a member of the dance company "Carrot Dancers" and was involved in independent dance projects.

After graduating from high school, she studied acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig from 2014 to 2018 . As part of her training, she was a member of the Cologne Drama Studio during the 2016/17 season and also in the following 2017/18 season. She was seen there in the production of Hamlet by Stefan Bachmann, among others. At the Schauspiel Köln she also appeared in the world premiere of the play Jemand wie ich by Charlotte Roos in the 2016/17 season . In the 2017/18 season she was part of the ensemble of the Hauptmann play Die Weber , staged by Armin Petras .

Since 2015 she has also been in front of the camera for film and television productions. In the first part of the four-part documentary TV series The Dream of the New World (2017) she embodied Dorothea Louise Ludwig, who is brought from Germany to the USA by girl traffickers, where she is rented out to innkeepers on a daily basis as an escort girl. In the ARD fairy tale adaptation Das Wasser des Lebens (2017), Marlene Tanczik played the main female role of Princess Friederike at Gustav Schmidt's side as prince.

In the VOX series Milk & Honey (2018), she played a leading role as Charlie, who was still underage, and who supports her older brother and his friends in expanding their escort service for women. In the multi-part television documentary Die Eiserne Zeit (2018), which takes place during the Thirty Years War , Tanczik played Anna Margareta von Haugwitz , who at the age of 18 married the Swedish military leader Carl Gustav Wrangel during the war .

Marlene Tanczik lives in Halle (Saale) .
