Marlies Kohnle-Gros (born March 7, 1956 in Dornstadt ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1991.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1975, Kohnle-Gros studied law at the University of Mannheim . After the second state examination in law , she worked for a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament between 1983 and 1986. Kohnle-Gros is married and has one son.

Kohnle-Gros was the deputy chairwoman of the Europa-Haus Marienberg Foundation until 2011 . She is the chair of the advisory board of the Episcopal Foundation for Mother and Child in the Speyer diocese . She is a member of the assembly of the State Center for Media and Communication of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. She is a member of the administrative board of the Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz / Saarland e. V. of the German Youth Hostel Association and chairwoman of the administrative board of the Studierendenwerk Kaiserslautern and member of the board of trustees of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and member of the board of the Atlantic Academy of Rhineland-Palatinate.

In 1982 Kohnle-Gros joined the CDU. From 1986 to 1991 she was managing director of the CDU in Kaiserslautern . She has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1991 . Between 2005 and 2010, Kohnle-Gros was state chairwoman of the Christian Democrats for Life . Since 2002 she has been treasurer of the CDU district association Kusel .

She ran for election in the constituency of Kusel and was elected via the state list. In the state parliament, she works as chairman of the legal committee and the commission according to Article 10 of the Basic Law and as a member of the committee for media, digital infrastructure and network policy and the parliamentary control commission.
