Marliese Fuhrmann
Marliese Fuhrmann (born July 18, 1934 in Kaiserslautern ; † August 23, 2015 there ) was a German writer.
Life
The author grew up in Kaiserslautern and Ludwigshafen am Rhein . After completing her commercial training, she mainly worked in costing and accounting for a clothing store. During the family phase she began to write. Since 1981 she has lived as a freelance writer in Kaiserslautern.
Fuhrmann became known through her book Zeit der Brennessel - Geschichte einer Kindheit , published in 1981 , in which she deals intensively with the first fourteen years of her life. After the daily newspaper Die Rheinpfalz had printed it in continuations with photos and historical documents , the book was published in 1983 as a bound special edition. The Fischer-Taschenbuchverlag published the title in 1986 under license. In 1992, Zeit der Brennessel - A Childhood Story, revised and provided with drypoint etchings by Svenja Korb, was published as a new edition by the Palatinate Publishing House.
In 1986 the Fischer-Taschenbuchverlag published the original edition of Hexenringe - Dialogue with the Father in the series "The Woman in Society" . This was followed by the story Schneebruch - the story of a deportation, in which the author tried at the end of the 1980s to trace the life of a forced laborer who was deported to Germany. In 1994 the Palatinate Publishing House published the story Winter has harmed us everywhere . After extensive research, the illustrated book Kuckucksruf und Nachtigall - Die Pfälzer Wandermusikanten was published in 2000 . In 2007, Görres-Verlag, Koblenz, published the volume Anna and Others - Women's Paths in the Palatinate with many pictures.
Stories, portraits and poems by Marliese Fuhrmann have been published in more than 70 anthologies, newspapers and yearbooks, e. B. in: Rhineland-Palatinate Women - Women in Politics, Society, Economy and Culture in the Early Years of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, published by the Commission of the Landtag RLP, Mainz 2001. She wrote the biographical text about Elisabeth of Saxony (1552–1590 ), Wife of Count Palatine Johann Casimir, in: Pfälzer Lebensbilder, edited by Hartmut Harthausen, publishing house of the Palatinate Society for the Advancement of Science, 7th volume.
