Marouene Guezmir (born March 6, 1974 in Tunis ) is a former Tunisian football player .

Career

Guezmir already played in the youth of Espérance Tunis before moving to the professional field. In 1996 he moved to Germany for SC Freiburg . In Freiburg he played in the Bundesliga under coach Volker Finke . The Tunisian made his debut at the season opener against Werder Bremen and played 14 times the following season. He scored his only goal on matchday 30 against MSV Duisburg . After the 34th matchday, Freiburg was in 17th place and relegated. Guezmir played eight games in the 2nd Bundesliga and was promoted to runner-up behind Eintracht Frankfurt . Guezmir was still in the Freiburg squad for one season, played no more games and then moved to Club Athlétique Bizertin , where he ended his career in 2002.
