Marquise "Hollywood" Brown (born June 4, 1997 in Hollywood , Florida ) is an American American football player on the position of the wide receiver . He played college football for the University of Oklahoma . He has been with the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL) since 2019 , after they selected him in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft .

college

Brown attended Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in his hometown of Hollywood. Not receiving any offers from Division I colleges after a cruciate ligament injury , he first worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park to finance his studies at the College of the Canyons, a junior college . There Brown was able to successfully display his qualities as a football player, so that he soon received offers from prestigious colleges. For the 2017 season, Brown moved to the University of Oklahoma to play for the Oklahoma Sooners . In two seasons for the Sooners, Brown caught 132 passes for 2,413 yards of space and 17 touchdowns . In January 2019, Brown announced that he would be giving up his senior year of college and signing up for the NFL Draft .

NFL

Brown was selected by the Baltimore Ravens as the 25th first-round player in the 2019 NFL Draft . It was the first wide receiver to be selected. Brown made his NFL debut on Matchday 1 of the 2019 season in a 59:10 win over the Miami Dolphins . He scored a touchdown on his first two passes caught (for 47 and 83 yards of space) and became the first player in the NFL to catch two touchdown passes for over 40 yards on his debut. Overall, Brown caught four out of five passes thrown at him.

Marquise Brown is the cousin of Antonio Brown , who also played as a wide receiver in the NFL.
