Martha Stephanie Braun (later Steffy Browne) formulated her views on economic policy in the monograph “Theory of State Economic Policy”. It deals with measures of the process policy with the help of the " goal-means analysis ". Jan Tinbergen formalized this analysis and was honored with the Nobel Prize for Economics . In this investigation one starts with the goals and examines the necessary instruments with their effects. The value and price theory of the Austrian school serves as the basis and individual measures of demand, supply and pricing are examined. Other representatives of the Austrian school such as Hayek, however, rejected major state intervention and advocated a liberal regulatory policy that is still associated with the Austrian school today.
