Martijntje Quik

Martijntje Quik (born October 24, 1973 in De Bilt ) is a former Dutch helmswoman in rowing . As a member of the Dutch eighth, she won the Olympic silver medal in 2000.

The 1.68 m tall helmsman started Roeivereeniging NEREUS for the Amsterdam students . At the 1997 World Championships , she finished eighth with eighth place. Two years later, the eighth finished second in the World Cup in Hazewinkel and Lucerne. At the 1999 World Championships in St. Catharines, the eighth finished fourth. In 2000 the Dutch women won the World Cup opener in Munich, and in Lucerne they took fourth place. At the Olympic Games in Sydney, as in Lucerne, the Romanians won, three seconds behind the Dutch women won the silver medal in the line-up of Anneke Venema , Carin ter Beek , Nelleke Penninx , Pieta van Dishoeck , Eeke van Nes , Tessa Appeldoorn , Marieke Westerhof and Elien Meijer and Martijntje Quik.
