The Martin Luther School (MLS for short) is a high school with a focus on music in Rimbach in southern Hesse and a large school in the Bergstrasse district with around 900 students .
The school produces some of its electricity itself with its own photovoltaic system and a block-type thermal power station.
building
The school consists of four buildings (A – D) and has a library and media center.
A steadily increasing number of pupils led to an acute shortage of space in the 1990s. An increase in the old main building (A building) in 2000 could only remedy the problem for a short time. Temporary containers had to be set up as classrooms. As a long-term solution, building complexes C and D were demolished and rebuilt as the new main building by the end of 2014 for around 21 million euros.
Projects
Guest teacher in India (Pavitram, Tamil Nadu)
Every year two high school graduates travel to a Catholic partner school in a small village in South India as guest teachers in "Spoken English". They are selected beforehand by a small selection committee. They are financially supported by their Abitur class and the circle of friends.

Building blocks of personality
The “building blocks of personality development” are a project that enables the pupils to acquire diverse experiences in the field of social competence in addition to the qualifications and competencies acquired in class . Three aspects are of central importance here:
- Personality and personality development
- Communication skills
- Foreign language skills
The school offers seminars, workshops and lectures on topics such as rhetoric, personality training, priority management and debating (also in English).
