Martin Alfred Klopfenstein

Martin Alfred Klopfenstein (born August 20, 1931 in Frutigen ; † December 24, 2016 ) was a Swiss Protestant Reformed theologian .

Life

He grew up in the Bernese Oberland . He studied theology in Bern and Edinburgh . He was a research assistant in Bern , parish pastor in Langenthal , university pastor in Bern, rector of the Church Theological School of Bern, professor of the Old Testament in Bern and most recently Vice- Rector of the University of Bern .
