Martin Bodin

Martin Bodin (born September 29, 1903 in Klintehamn , Gotland , Sweden , † October 7, 1976 in Sollentuna ) was a Swedish cameraman .

Life

Born on the Baltic Sea island of Gotland, Bodin had worked as a camera assistant and simple cameraman for early Swedish sound films before he was promoted to chief cameraman in 1931. In this role, he was behind the camera in over 100 films over the next 36 years. Most of the time it was simply conceived entertainment material. Bodin seldom photographed high-class productions by important directors such as B. Alf Sjöberg's “ Die Hörige ” and “ Rya-Rya - Just a Mother ” as well as Ingmar Bergman's “ Lesson in Love ” . After the Second World War, Martin Bodin worked primarily with the directors Lars-Erik Kjellgren and Hasse Ekman , and most recently also photographed a number of documentaries.
