Martin Carolus Zillmann (* 1976 in Jakarta ) is a German director of documentaries, music videos and commercials .

biography

Martin Carolus Zillmann grew up in Berlin and successfully completed high school there. He has worked as a director since the late 1990s, concentrating on documentaries, music videos and commercials. Various music films were made for the band Ohrbooten . In 2009 he made a film for Die Toten Hosen for the song Drowning from the album In aller Stille in a Berlin prison. His video clip for Ein Mann ein Wort from the album Schlicht & Grabend , which he filmed for the band Haudegen , was awarded the Echo for the best national video in 2012. Zillmann worked as assistant director to Michael Ballhaus and Ciro Cappellari in the documentary In Berlin from 2009.

Martin Carolus Zillmann lives with his partner and their two sons in Berlin.
