job

research

Diekmann and his working group work (as of 2011) on vegetation and population ecological aspects of habitat fragmentation , the influence of air deposits on species composition and species richness in forest and grassland societies as well as on the vegetation ecology of various plant communities. His working group examines u. a. the shifts in the physiology and biogeography of plants due to large-scale climatic changes.

Teaching

Diekmann teaches biology at the University of Bremen. He oversees the events on knowledge of the forms of plants, nature conservation biology and nature conservation as well as the basic ecology course.
