Martin E. Greil

Martin E. Greil (born December 7, 1970 in Dornbirn ) is an Austrian action / sound artist and writer .

Live and act

After compulsory school, Greil first completed an apprenticeship as a printer and was a guitarist in various local punk bands such as FNAHC, The Sinep, Ruzzy Fuzzy. He later studied at the American Institute of Music (AIM) in Vienna . When Paul McCartney founded the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) in the 1990s , Greil was one of the first students at this pop university. After successfully completing the LIPA, he worked for several years in Liverpool as an artist and partly as a lecturer at LIPA and Liverpool John Moores University .

Together with the French-Swiss dancer Sophie Paratte and the German actor Armin Sengenberger , he founded the ASPARA company in 1996 and finally returned to Dornbirn, where he now works as an artist and cultural mediator.

In 2002, Greil founded the TiK in Dornbirn, which has set itself the task of promoting young talent. In addition, the TiK offers performance opportunities and an art laboratory.
