From 1988 to 1997 he completed a degree in human medicine at the University of Kiel , which he completed with a doctorate on the ability of drugs to influence bronchial hyperreactivity . He also performs with other musicians. With Jasper van't Hof he improvised extensively on his composition “Nachtflug” at JazzBaltica in Salzau .
