Martin Heidenreich

Martin Heidenreich (born October 6, 1956 in Lübbecke ) is a German sociologist and university professor.

Life

Heidenreich passed the Abitur at the Wittekind-Gymnasium Lübbecke in 1975 . He refused the basic military service and completed the civil service at the Bodelschwingh institutions . He then completed training as a nursing assistant there .

He studied sociology in Bielefeld , Bologna and Paris and obtained his doctorate in 1988 under Gert Schmidt on the subject of corporate policy and social context . He completed his habilitation in 1993 at the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Bielefeld , went to the University of Bamberg as a professor for European research in the social sciences in 2000 and has held the chair of social structure analysis in Germany at the University of Oldenburg since 2007 . In 2005 and 2007 he was appointed Jean Monnet Chair for European Studies in Social Sciences. Since 2008 he has been head of the Jean Monnet Center for Europeanization and Transnational Regulations Oldenburg.

His work focuses on social structure analysis , organizational sociology , regional , innovation and European research .
