Martin Josef Geiger

Martin Josef Geiger (born November 1973 in Ellwangen an der Jagst ) is a German economist.

Life

He grew up in Aalen . After graduating from the Schubart-Gymnasium Aalen, he studied economics at the University of Hohenheim (diploma: 1999; Dr. oec .: submitted 2004, awarded 2005; habilitation with Venia Legendi in business administration: submitted 2008, awarded 2009). He also received a Master of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham . From 2001 to 2002 he was a research assistant at the chair for industrial management at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. From 2003 to 2005 he was a member of the research group Automated Scheduling, Optimization and Planning at the University of Nottingham and carried out research on a project in which an industrial partner from the printing industry was involved. He was an academic advisor at the chair for industrial management at the University of Hohenheim (2005–2008). From 2008 to 2009 he taught as Associate Professor for Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Syddansk University in Odense . Since July 2009 he has been teaching as a professor for business administration, especially logistics management at the Helmut Schmidt University .
