Martin Kreuzriegler (born January 10, 1994 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Kreuzriegler began his career at SV Reichraming . For the 2008/09 season he came to AKA Linz . During his time at the academy, he made his debut for second division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz in the second division in May 2012 when he was substituted on for Boris Arapovic on matchday 33 of the 2011/12 season against FC Lustenau 07 in stoppage time . By the end of the season he made two appearances for Linz in the second highest division.

For the 2012/13 season he received a contract with the Linzers running until June 2014 with an option. During that season he made 15 appearances in the second division for the Upper Austrians. With these, however, he had to go to the regional league at the end of the season . He then left Blau-Weiß Linz for the time being. However, after he had not found another club, he returned to the third-class Linzers in September 2013. By the end of the season he made 13 appearances in the regional league.

For the 2014/15 season, Kreuzriegler moved to the second division club SV Horn . For the Lower Austrians he played 25 games in the second highest division that season. With Horn he also had to relegate to the regional league at the end of the season. He then joined the second division club SC Austria Lustenau for the 2015/16 season . At the club from Vorarlberg, however, he could not prevail and so he only came to twelve league appearances.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to league rivals Floridsdorfer AC . In July 2016, he scored his first goal in the second division in a 2-1 defeat against FC Wacker Innsbruck . For the Viennese he made 32 appearances in the second division by the end of the season and scored two goals. His second goal of the season in a 3-0 win against SC Wiener Neustadt in March 2017 was voted Goal of the Year.

For the 2017/18 season, Kreuzriegler moved to Malta for the first division club Hibernians Paola . He played his first game in the Maltese Premier League in August 2017 against FC St. Andrews . By the end of the season he came to 25 missions in the highest Maltese league, he also completed his first three games at the international club level with the Hibernians; with the club he took part in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League at the start of the season, but failed in the second round at FC Red Bull Salzburg .

After a season abroad, Kreuzriegler returned to the now second-rate Blau-Weiß Linz for the 2018/19 season, where he received a contract that ran until June 2020. In the first season after his return, he came to 28 second division appearances. In September 2019, he scored his first brace in his career in a 3-2 defeat against SV Ried .

In June 2020 he moved to Norway for the first division club Sandefjord Fotball during the current season , with whom he received a contract that runs until December 2021.

National team

Kreuzriegler played for the first time in August 2009 for an Austrian national youth team. In August 2010 he came to two missions for the U-17 team . In November 2011 he played his only game for the U-18 selection against Bulgaria . In June and October 2012 he came to two missions for the U-19 team .
