Martin Kreyenschmidt

Martin Kreyenschmidt (* 1965 in Friesoythe ) is a German chemist.

After studying at the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg (1985–1989, 1990–1991) and the Scottish University of Edinburgh (1989–1990), Kreyenschmidt worked at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz from 1991 to 1995 in the group of Klaus Müllen . He was charged with a dissertation on the synthesis and properties of stiff-chain oligomers and polymers with pyrene and 4,5,9,10-tetrahydropyrene subunits doctorate . He then worked at the Californian IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose and at Stanford University . He was also employed in the BASF plastics laboratory as a polymer chemist. Since 2003 he has been professor for instrumental analysis and plastics analysis at the Münster University of Applied Sciences .

Kreyenschmidt is married and has three children.
