Martin Krusche

Martin Krusche (* 1966 in Munich ) is a German jazz musician (saxophone and composition).

Live and act

After studying in Würzburg, Martin Krusche received a scholarship at the New School in New York City . He then moved to New Orleans , where he lived for several years. There he recorded the album "Friendship Pagoda" for the Naxos jazz label in 2000 at the Snug Harbor jazz club with Nicholas Payton , pianist Victor Atkins , bassist David Pulphus and drummer Geoff Clapp . In Germany he then played with his quintet composed of Peter Tuscher (trumpet), Michael Flügel (piano), Martin Zenker (bass), and Billy Elgart (drums).

Martin Krusche is currently working with his formation Magnetic Ear / Nola consisting of Jürgen Hahn (trumpet), Johannes Fink (bass), Philip Bernhardt (drums). Krusche's style is based on John Coltrane .
