Martin Litschauer (born November 19, 1974 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ) is an Austrian politician from the Greens . He was the top candidate of his party in the Waldviertel regional constituency in the 2019 National Council election and was a member of the National Council .

Life

Martin Litschauer graduated from HTL Karlstein and then worked for an international company. In 2000 he took a stand against the Temelin nuclear power plant and became the spokesman for the non-partisan platform Stop Temelin . He was also involved in the founding of the Waldviertler Energiestammtisch and as a board member at Eurosolar Austria .

In 2006 Litschauer founded the Green Fraid in Waidhofen an der Thaya , which means that he has also been a Waidhofner city ​​councilor since 2015 . From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the provincial board of the Greens in Lower Austria , as well as currently in the provincial committee of the Greens.
