Martin Pagenkopf

Martin Pagenkopf (* 1944 in Potsdam ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

Life

Pagenkopf studied Protestant theology and law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . After completing his legal training, he became a judge at the Cologne Administrative Court in November 1973 . In 1976 he became a judge for life. In 1978 Martin Pagenkopf did his doctorate at the University of Bonn on the subject of the assignment of future claims . He was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Justice in April 1979 and was appointed judge at the Higher Administrative Court during the secondment in June 1981 . In 1983 he was transferred to the Federal Ministry of Justice and at the same time appointed government director. In June 1989 he was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court.

At the Federal Administrative Court he was initially assigned to the 3rd Revision Senate, which deals with burden equalization and compensation law , health administration, food , agriculture, transport and subsidy law. After nine years of membership in the 3rd Audit Senate, he switched to the 8th Audit Senate and in 1999 became its deputy chairman. The 8th Revision Senate was responsible for local law and the regulation of open property issues. He retired at the end of December 2009.

In addition to his judicial work, he is also a co-author of a commentary on the Basic Law and wrote several editions of a work on trainee lawyer training .
