Martin Pohl (born April 13, 1981 in Rostock ) is a former German soccer player .

The defender joined Hansa Rostock in 1987 at the age of six and played in the Hanseatic youth teams until 2000. He then became a player in the club's second team in the senior division of the Oberliga Nordost-Nord . After his debut on December 12, 2000, Pohl developed into one of the top performers of the second team, whereupon he temporarily moved up to the professional squad of the Hanseatic League from 2004, but did not play in the Bundesliga under the coaches Juri Schlünz and Jörg Berger . Only after the relegation of the first team to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2004/05 season , in which Pohl had become champions of the Oberliga and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup with Rostock's second team , he came in the 2005/06 second division under coach Frank Pagelsdorf on his first missions for Rostock's professional team. On September 12, 2005, he made his debut in the game against VfL Bochum and completed another twelve games. However, FC Hansa missed the desired direct resurgence. Pohl counted in the following season 2006/07 although still in the squad of the second division, but came to no further use for the first team. He ran again for the second team in the league.

For the 2007/08 season Pohl left Hansa Rostock after 20 years and joined the regional division FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , with whom he qualified for the newly created 3rd division in 2008/09 . He played there until 2011.
