Martin Schemm (* 1964 in Duisburg ) is a German author . The historian lives with his wife and daughter in Hamburg and works for the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information . Schemm has been writing and publishing novels and short stories in his spare time since 1996, particularly in the genres of fantasy , historical novels , science fiction and horror .
