As a junior, Martin Schneebauer started in a two-seater together with Peter Braunegger . In 1994 they took second place in Längenfeld . In the single-seater, Martin Schneebauer achieved twelfth place in 1992 and seventh place in 1993.

From 1995 on, Schneebauer started together with Peter Lechner in international championships in the general class . At the 1995 European Championships in Kandalakscha, the 1996 World Championships in Oberperfuss and the 1997 European Championships in Moos in Passeier , they came sixth three times in a row. At Schneeberger's last major event, the 1998 World Cup in Rautavaara , the duo achieved another midfield position with seventh place.

The duo Schneebauer / Lechner was more successful in the World Cup . In the 1994/1995 season they achieved fifth place overall and in the 1995/1996 season they achieved third place in the overall double-seater World Cup with their first podium, third place in Rautavaara. In the 1996/1997 season , Schneebauer / Lechner won the World Cup race in Szczyrk and finished third in Obdach , which again brought them third overall. In their last season together, 1997/1998 , they finished third in three of the six races and came fifth in the overall World Cup. Martin Schneebauer ended his career after this winter; Peter Lechner then drove for another three years with Schneebauer's former twin partner Peter Braunegger.
