European Natural Track Luge Championships 1995

The 16th FIL Natural Track Luge European Championship took place from February 24th to 26th, 1995 in Kandalakscha , Russia . The natural toboggan run was 1002 meters long and had a height difference of 122 meters.

The Italian Manfred Gräber was European champion in the men's singles for the second time after 1987. The silver medal was won by 19-year-old Martin Gruber , also from Italy. The bronze medal went to the Austrian Robert Tomelitsch , who had also won bronze at the European Championships ten years earlier.

The Austrian Irene Zechner became the European champion in the women's singles for the second time in a row . The silver medal was won by the Russian Lyubow Panjutina , which was the first time that a medal went to Russia at a natural track tobogganing European championship and for the first time a medalist in the women's singles was not from Italy or Austria. Third place went to the Austrian Elvira Holzknecht , who won all World Cup races this winter , just like at the last European Championship .

The brothers Helmut and Andi Ruetz from Austria became European champions in the doubles for the first time. The silver medal went to the Italians Martin Psenner and Arthur Künig . The Italians Jürgen Pezzi and Christian Hafner , who were second at the last European Championship and the World Championship last year, were third this time.
