Date: January 15, 2010

Ten teams from seven nations competed in the team competition, which was held for the first time. Italy, Austria and Russia each provided two teams; Bulgaria, Germany, Poland and Ukraine one each. A team consisted of one single-seater for women and one for men as well as a two-seater pair. The running times were converted into points, with 30 points being awarded for the fastest time per run. If there was a tie, all three rounds were ranked according to the total time. Team Austria I was European team champion ahead of Italy I and Austria II. Team Italy II landed in fourth place with the same number of points as the fifth-placed team Russia I, which, however, had a worse overall time. The three best-placed teams could each win one of the three runs, the best overall time was the Italy I team.
